This section is dedicated to images of the NVR goods train in the first decade following the formation of the Wagon Group (in October 2011). It is hoped that the photographs in this section will act as a record of the development of the goods rake over time.

11th September 2011: “East Meets West” gala featuring special guest locomotives 71000 “Duke of Gloucester” and 4936 “Kinlet Hall”. Newly-rebuilt brake van B953944 was released into traffic for the first time at this event, and is seen here with the goods train at Peterborough Nene Valley station after being hauled there by BR Standard ‘5MT’ 73050. The ‘Lowmac’ and two vans nearest the brake van are Civil Engineering vehicles added to the rake especially for this event; otherwise the train represents the NVR demonstration goods train before the Wagon Group started work…
